The Israeli army announced yesterday, Monday, that it had begun, under directives from the political level, the implementation of a regional pilot project under the title “Safe Zone” in southern Lebanon, in cooperation with the US Central Command (Centcom) and the Lebanese army. The Israeli army explained that, within the framework of the project, joint teams from the Israeli army, US Central Command, and the Lebanese army are conducting coordination and planning operations to continue implementing the agreement, stressing at the same time that it “will work forcefully against any violation of the agreement.”
